Spatio-Temporal Models for Vibration Monitoring of Elongated Structures Using Profile Laser Scans

Vibration monitoring is a frequent task within the general topic of Structural Health Monitoring. For this monitoring, usually accelerometers, strain gauges, fibre optic sensors or Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers are placed on pre-selected positions structure and point-wise measurements individually processed to estimate relevant modal parameters, for example, oscillating amplitudes natural frequencies. If laser scanners were used vibration analyses could be performed with significantly higher spatial resolution that would beneficial especially locating structural weaknesses. However, apply rigorously spatio-temporal models need set up. With study, we develop discuss four applied simulated bridge deck. Therefore, formulate either functional as well stochastic connections between neighbored measurement estimation parameters harmonic oscillation.
